Kungka Kutjara Tjukurpa
This painting about Kunga Kutjara (two ladies) that met at a rockhole, near Bumball Creek, not far from the Northern Territory and South Australia border. This tjukurpa tells the moving story of an elder sister bringing her missing younger sister back to her birth country afer a long period of separation. Tuppy has painted a conceptual map of the country formed of expansive colour, signs and marks of the two sister travels and sacred presence in the land.
