All of the minyma (women) were travelling a long way as they headed towards Tjukurla in the dreaming times on an epic journey known as Tingarri. They travelled fromKiwirrkurra all the way to Tjukurla and the lake to the north collecting bush tucker and performing Inma (womens ceremonies) as they went. They stopped to camp at the many rockholes where they could dig for fresh waster and this painting depicts one of the camps on the way. The sandhills and the hills are strong features of the design and the women are performing a ceremony, singing and dancing.
