Kapi Piti Kutjara

Kathleen has painted the Kapi Piti Kutjara where she was born.  A direct translation of this name would be "two rockholes".  What makes this place so important in the Spinifex area is from these two rockholes came the Wati Kutjara (Two Men), a father and son who travelled across and dominates o much of the Spinifex lore and law.  Kathleen was born in the area she has shown the rockholes at Pirapi, unpunpa, Karnka, Pakinya and Tjulata.
