This painting represents a key area of the artist's traditional country in the Keep River of the east Kimberley. At the centre of the painting is a freshwater spring. Butterflies of many colors can be found around this area. Echoing the shape of the butterfly the open areas surrounding the spring are hillside of spinifex. Typical of the artist's emphasis of movement within the country she describes the wind in the spinifex expressing the Spirit alive in Country.
